If you're looking for a weight-training
program that's safe, simple, effective
and time-efficient, how about a routine using exercise bands instead
of weights? When
strength training, you're applying a resistive force to your body
that's greater than normal. Your body can't tell the difference if
this force is from metal or rubber--your muscles, bones and connective
tissue will respond by getting stronger.
As
you get stronger, you'll need added resistance in order to improve. If
you're using dumbbells, you must buy heavier weights---this can get
costly and cumbersome. With rubber tubing, you can vary the tension to
make an exercise harder. When you do need to upgrade to the next level
of tubing, it's inexpensive. We have weight levels from light to
ultra-heavy.
Additionally, a weight-training
program using exercise bands can be performed anywhere -- at home, the
office, or while traveling.
